  • Parcel delivery tracking: To enable our customers to track their parcels, GLS Portugal uses services such as FlexDeliveryService, GLS Point and DropPoint. In this context, we will process your email address or telephone number to inform you about the delivery status of your parcel. Please note that GLS Portugal receives the telephone number and/or email address directly from the sender who requested these additional services. The sender is also a data controller and is responsible, in particular, for the lawful collection of such data and for ensuring that it has the necessary legal basis to transfer your data to GLS Portugal. Should you have any questions regarding this procedure, please contact your contractual partner, namely the sender, or GLS Portugal directly. GLS Portugal processes these data solely and exclusively for the purpose described above and only for as long as the parcel is being processed, based on our legitimate interest in providing the requested service. Failure to provide the identification and contact information described above will prevent us from providing the parcel tracking service.

  • Transport and delivery of parcels: In order to deliver your parcel to its destination, we process your identification and contact data, namely your name, address, postcode, city, country, telephone number and email address, for the period necessary to process the parcel and, where applicable, for the statutory period of 10 years for invoicing management purposes. Where you enter into a contract with us, your data are processed for the purpose of providing the contracted services. Where you have not entered into a contract directly with us, your data may be processed based on our legitimate interest in providing the services commissioned by a third-party company. Please note that failure to provide identification and contact data will make it impossible to deliver any parcels you may have ordered.

  • Identification and verification of the parcel recipient’s identity: In pursuit of GLS Portugal’s legitimate interests, the processing of identification data has become particularly important in enabling GLS Portugal to provide conclusive proof of the identity of the individuals to whom parcels are delivered and, therefore, to minimise financial and reputational damage. This information is strictly necessary to verify the identity of the parcel recipient.

- Application data and documents, such as a cover letter, curriculum vitae, salary expectations, current notice period, information regarding academic qualifications, acquired skills, diplomas and certificates, employment history and references.

We retain the data for six months following the completion of the recruitment process and after you have received a final response. Where the data are required for the establishment or defence of legal claims following the completion of the application process, the data may be processed for the duration of the relevant legal proceedings in order to safeguard our legitimate interests in the establishment or defence of such claims.
