GLS has agreed to acquire Rosenau Transport, a Canadian logistics company, expanding its footprint in Western Canada with complementary services to its existing Canadian business.

 

GLS has revealed its updated brand identity, building on its success in parcel services, emphasising personal delivery and a dynamic, digital-friendly appearance.

 

GLS Netherlands achieves climate-neutral shipping for all domestic and international parcels, offsetting CO2 emissions through VCS or Gold Standard projects, aligning with GLS Germany's initiative.

 

In response to the rapid growth of e-commerce in 2020 and the record number of parcels transported during peak season, GLS Czech Republic expedited the expansion of its national and international sorting centre in Jihlava.

 

GLS Group's quality and environmental management system in Europe has been recertified for three more years under ISO 9001 and 14001. GDP certification, including a new seal for Spain, has been confirmed in five countries.

 

GLS expands international returns via GLS Parcel Shops to four more countries. The ShopReturnService offers flexible solutions for national and cross-border returns across Europe.

 

On 28 September, GLS connected the new EuropeanEcoHub in Essen. It handles 75,000 shipments daily. The sustainable hub aims for emission-free delivery.

 

For the third year in a row, GLS is sponsoring Triathlon Ireland as official delivery partner. GLS staff will be present at five events.

The GLS Group has expanded its commitment on the American continent with a new partnership. From June 2019, Estafeta will deliver GLS consignments in Mexico and, in a second step, will feed parcels for Europe and North America into the GLS network.
