Current statistics on the number of complaints from 2024
At GLS, the customer is at the centre of everything we do. We handle complaints in a structured manner and take every concern very seriously. By responding quickly and with focus, we continuously work to improve the customer experience.
In 2024, the complaint rate in relation to the total number of parcels was 0.1%. This means that a complaint was submitted for only about one in every 1,000 parcels, and the vast majority of deliveries were completed to the satisfaction of our recipients. The most common reasons for complaints were dissatisfaction with an alternative delivery (when the recipient was not personally met during delivery), delivery to a parcel shop/ parcel locker, or parcel drop-offs at unauthorized locations.
In 2024, shipment damage was recorded in 0.005% of all delivery parcels, while loss or theft was reported in 0.027% of all delivery parcels.
